Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 3/4 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, combine shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
    Gradually add to first mixture, blending well.
    Roll dough into walnut-sized balls.
    Combine cinnamon and 2 Tbsp. sugar.
    Roll balls in cinnamon mixture. Place on greased baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
