Brown Beef Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. boneless stewing beef
flour
1 1/2 c. water
2 onions, sliced
salt and pepper
drippings
3 potatoes, diced
3 carrots, diced
Preparation

Cut meat into cubes.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Roll in flour and brown in drippings.
Add water; cover and simmer until almost tender, 2 or 3 hours.
Add vegetables, season with salt and pepper and continue to simmer until vegetables are done.
Stir occasionally.
