Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 chicken bouillon cube
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. grated carrots
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    4 c. skim milk
    4 Tbsp. plain flour
    1 1/2 c. chopped, cooked broccoli (one 10 oz. pkg.)
    8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation
    In large saucepan, saute onions and margarine. In bowl, dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water.
    Add bouillon, carrots and celery to onions.
    Cook over moderate heat about 10 minutes. In another bowl, gradually add a small amount of the milk to the flour and stir until smooth.
    Add remaining milk.
    Pour milk mixture, salt, pepper and broccoli into saucepan.
    Cook over moderate heat, stirring until bubbles appear.
    Serves 8.
