Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening or oleo
    6 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening, then add eggs, one at a time, beating
    all
    the time.
    Place salt and soda in buttermilk.
    Add lemon extract to sugar, shortening and egg mixture, then
    add flour and buttermilk a little at a time, ending with flour. Grease tube pan and dust with flour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove from oven and cool in upside-down pan.
