Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    1 medium onion
    4 broccoli stalks (I usually use the leftover stalks after using the florets)
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    4 c. chicken broth
    1/2 tsp. curry powder
    1/2 c. cream or milk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute
    chopped\tonion
    and broccoli in melted margarine until tender.
    Stir
    in
    flour
    and curry powder.
    Add chicken broth and simmer
    until thickened.
    Pour into blender or food processor and puree
    until smooth.
    Return to pot.
    Add cream or milk just before serving.
    Stir well.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    May add
    steamed small pieces of broccoli florets if desired.
