Meringued Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. shelled pecan halves
Preparation
    Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar.
    Add sugar a little at a time until all sugar is dissolved.
    Add vanilla.
    Fold pecans into meringue mixture.
    Melt 1 stick margarine onto cookie sheet. Spread meringue and nut mixture over melted margarine.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Use spatula and turn nuts every 10 minutes. If too brown, after 20 minutes, turn oven down and cook another 10 minutes.
