Carrot-Potato Puree - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium red potato, diced (peel, if desired)
    8 medium carrots, diced (peel, if desired)
    1 to 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    4 to 6 Tbsp. heavy cream, heated
    salt and freshly ground pepper
Preparation
    In saucepan, cook potato in boiling water until tender, about 7 minutes.
    Drain.
    In separate saucepan, boil carrots in just enough water to cover until tender, about 6 minutes.
