Best Basic Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 or 8 tart apples
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of salt
    pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie
Preparation
    Pare apples and slice thin.
    Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt; mix with pastry, fill with apple mixture, and dot with butter or margarine.
    Adjust top crust; sprinkle with sugar for sparkle.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for about 50 minutes (slightly less for glass pie plate).
