Orange Cream Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (3 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin or 2 (6 oz.) pkg.
    4 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. mandarin orange juice
    2 (11 oz.) cans mandarin oranges
    1/2 c. pecans
    2 pt. vanilla ice cream, softened
    5 medium bananas, sliced
Preparation
    Dissolve 2 packages gelatin in 2 1/2 cups boiling water; add orange juice.
    Chill until thick; add oranges and pecans.
    Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan or dish; chill until set.
    Dissolve remaining gelatin in remaining boiling water.
    Mix in ice cream by spoonfuls until melted; add bananas.
    Chill until mixture mounds on spoon; spoon onto top of congealed layer.
    Chill until firm.
    Serves 12. Decorate top with Planters pecan halves.
