Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda, with enough water to dissolve
4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and flour to consistency to knead. Knead well. Roll out thin on floured paper. Sprinkle with sugar and cut with cookie cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet. Cook in 350\u00b0 oven until light brown.
