Old Time Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
vanilla flavoring
4 Tbsp. cocoa

Preparation

Put all this in large mixing bowl.
Put soda in buttermilk and stir well.
Pour this on top of other ingredients.
Mix well.
Pour in 8 x 10-inch cake pan.
Bake until toothpick or fork comes out clean.
