Lamb Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lamb shoulder, cubed and rubbed with garlic
    3 large onions, chopped
    4 c. hot water
    salt and pepper
    1 1/2 c. uncooked rice
Preparation
    Brown lamb and onions until very dark.
    Stir constantly. Place in a casserole with the seasonings, water and rice.
    Be sure to add salt for the rice.
    Cover and bake in a moderate oven until rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
