French Quarter Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 pkg. frozen French-style green beans or 2 cans
3 Tbsp. butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. dried onion flakes
paprika
8 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 to 3 oz. slivered almonds
Preparation

Cook beans per directions on package or if using cans, drain well.
Melt butter in Dutch oven.
Add soup and cream cheese. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cream cheese is melted and mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat.
Stir in green beans, onion flakes, water chestnuts, garlic salt, pepper and cheese.
Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 1 3/4-quart casserole dish.
Top with almonds.
Sprinkle on paprika.
Bake at 350\u00b0, uncovered, 45 minutes.
