Ingredients

1/2 stick oleo, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. coconut (flaked or frozen)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) pie shell (unbaked)
Preparation

Mix oleo and sugar; cream well.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, and then the buttermilk.
Add coconut and vanilla.
Mix well.
Pour into 9-inch (deep dish) pie shell.
Bake at 275\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Ovens vary so use baking temperature that will cook slow.
