Best Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. melted shortening
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Beat eggs and sugar.
    Add shortening.
    Add flour, sifted with salt, baking powder and spices, alternately with milk.
    Roll on lightly floured surface to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with doughnut cutter.
    Fry in hot shortening (365\u00b0 to 375\u00b0) until brown.
    Drain on absorbent paper.
