Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, separated
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. plain flour
    2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat
    egg
    yolks;
    add\t1/2
    cup sugar, flour, salt and milk. Cook until thickens; add vanilla.
    Caramelize other 1/2 cup
    sugar in
    an iron skillet.
    Add to preceding mixture and cook
    slowly until the caramelized sugar dissolves.
    Pour into baked pie shell and cover with meringue.
