Pumpkin Chiffon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. pumpkin
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 envelope plain gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    3 beaten egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks and 1/2 cup sugar until thick and smooth.
    Add pumpkin, milk and spices.
    Cook in double boiler until thick.
    Add gelatin, softened in cold water; stir until dissolved.
    Cool.
    Add egg whites, beaten stiff, with sugar.
    Pour into baked pie shells. Fill 2 shells.
