Alabama Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3 tsp. shortening
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Mix in other ingredients.
    Stir well.
    Put on floured board.
    Knead a little, keeping dough as soft as possible.
    Cut out biscuits.
    Dip both sides of biscuits in melted butter. Put in greased pan.
    Let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
