Banana Split Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium bananas
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    1/2 gal. strawberry ice cream
    1 c. Cool Whip
    whole maraschino cherries
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Thinly slice the bananas; sprinkle with lemon juice and arrange on bottom of baked pie shell.
    Stir strawberry ice cream to soften slightly; spread atop bananas.
    Freeze until firm. Spread Cool Whip over ice cream.
    Top with cherries.
    Sprinkle with walnuts.
    Freeze again until firm.
    Pie needs to stand at room temperature for only a few minutes before serving.
    Serve with canned chocolate sauce or prepare Quick Fudge Sauce.
