Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk, scalded
    3 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cut sugar and peanut butter until well blended.
    Crumble half of mixture into baked pie shell.
    To make filling, combine cornstarch, sugar and salt.
    Gradually stir in scalded milk (use double boiler).
    Beat egg yolks.
    Slowly stir into milk mixture. Cook, stirring until thick.
    Stir in oleo and vanilla.
    Cool, pour over peanut butter mixture.
    Beat egg whites, add sugar, spread peanut butter mixture on top of meringue.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until light brown.
