Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Add water and vanilla. Sift and add flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Mix in coconut.
Chill dough 2 hours.
Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
Place 2-inches apart.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
