5 Layer Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 or 5 yellow squash
    1 1/2 pkg. saltine crackers
    2 sticks butter
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 medium onion
    1 pkg. shredded medium or sharp cheese
Preparation
    Slice squash and boil until tender.
    Drain well.
    Melt butter, add chopped onion and cook in butter until tender.
    Crumble crackers in bowl.
    Pour butter and onions into the crackers and mix until well coated.
