Key Lime Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs, separated
1 can condensed milk
1/2 c. lime juice
3 tsp. grated lime rind
8-inch baked pastry shell, cooled
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/3 c. sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In medium bowl beat egg yolks.
Stir in sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, rind and food coloring.
In small bowl stiffly beat 1 egg white.
Fold into sweetened condensed milk mixture.
Turn into shell.
Beat reserved meringue with cream of tartar until foamy.
Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff.
Put meringue on pie.
Chill before serving.
