Marinated Cabbage Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage, shredded
    1 onion, grated
    1/2 c. grated green bell pepper
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. oil
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Layer cabbage, onion and pepper in a salad bowl.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Bring oil, vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed and salt to a boil in saucepan.
    Pour over layers.
    Chill for 4 hours to overnight.
    Makes 12 servings.
