Lemon Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 lb. softened margarine
    6 eggs
    4 c. flour
    1/2 to 1 lb. nuts (pecans taste good)
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 1/2 oz. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Mix sugar, butter and flavoring.
    Add flour, a little at a time, alternating with the eggs.
    Begin and end with the flour. Add nuts, cherries and pineapple.
    Bake in greased spring-form pan at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Turn temperature down to 300\u00b0 for 1 hour, then turn temperature to 275\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Let cool a few minutes, then turn out of pan carefully.
