Padang Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. turmeric
    3 lemon grass leaves
    2 red chilies, crushed
    1 1/2 c. coconut milk from 1 coconut
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 lb. beef loin, sliced thin
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Saute in oil the garlic, turmeric, ginger and lemon grass. Add meat, chilies and salt. Saute 3 minutes. Add coconut milk and bay leaf. Cover and simmer until sauce is thick. May be served hot or cold. Serves 4 to 6.
