Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. All-Bran
1 c. 100% Bran
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix the 2 brans and boiling water; let stand.
Mix eggs, shortening, sugar and buttermilk; add to bran.
Sift flour, soda and salt.
Fold into other mixture and stir well.
Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Makes 36 muffins.
Batter may be kept in a covered container in refrigerator for 7 weeks and used as needed.
