Coconut Treats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. shredded coconut
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    melted chocolate
Preparation
    Combine sugar with water and syrup.
    Stir over heat to dissolve.
    Cook without stirring to 236 degrees (soft ball stage) on candy thermometer.
    Remove from heat.
    Add coconut and vanilla. Cool.
    With teaspoon, shape into small balls and dip in melted chocolate.
