Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
    1/2 stick butter (1/4 c.)
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese (reserve 1/2 c. for top)
    1 to 2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    In saucepan, boil sliced potatoes until tender.
    Put in a buttered 1 to 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Make sauce.
