Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    3 c. (16 oz.) raw peanuts
    2/3 c. white karo syrup
    dash salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 drops red food coloring
Preparation
    Boil first five ingredients on low to medium heat for 1 hour. Remove from heat and add remaining three ingredients. Beat by hand until thick. Drop by spoon fulls on wax paper. Let cool.
