Mary'S Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. raw peanuts
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients; bring to a slow boil.
    Cook until it spins a thread (about 20 to 25 minutes).
    Remove from heat, then add 1 stick of margarine and a few drops of red food coloring. Let cool and beat until creamy.
    Spoon onto wax paper.
