Lentil Soup(Low Calorie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. acceptable margarine
    1 onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1 c. lentils
    7 c. water
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/8 tsp. cayenne
    1 1/2 tsp. cumin
    freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a large stockpot, melt margarine.
    Add onion and garlic and saute until soft.
    Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Place mixture in a blender or the work bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade. Process until well blended.
    Serve hot.
    Serves 8, 1 cup per serving.
