Collard Green Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. bacon fat
1/2 lb. ham bone
2 Spanish sausages
1/4 lb. white bacon
1 (No. 2) can collards
1 (No. 2) can great Northern beans
1 small onion, chopped
1 small green pepper
4 potatoes, pared
salt to taste
Preparation

In 1 quart of water, place the ham bone, Spanish sausages and white bacon.
Let cook for about 1/2 hour.
Add the collard greens and great Northern beans.
Allow to cook over slow heat for 1/2 hour.
Saute the onions and green pepper in bacon fat until onion is transparent.
Add to the greens.
Cut the potatoes in medium size pieces add to the greens.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook 1/2 hour.
