Pecan Pie Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 large egg
    1/3 c. oil
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo syrup (dark or white)
    2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    1 1/4 c. broken pecan pieces
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine the first 3 ingredients and mix together well. Press into ungreased 9 x 13 pan (mixture will be very thick). Bake at 300\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Turn oven to 350\u00b0. Mix together the remaining ingredients and pour over the crust. Return to the oven and bake for 35 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares.
