Ice Cream Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. pkg. Oreo cookies, crush fine
    1 cube butter
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
    1 jar Hershey's chocolate fudge, heated
    1 container Cool Whip
    chopped nuts
    maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Mix crushed cookies with melted butter; press into bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool 1 hour.
    Spread softened ice cream over crust.
    Cover and freeze about 1 hour.
    Pour hot fudge sauce over ice cream, cover and refreeze until firm.
    Spread Cool Whip over top.
    Return to freezer.
    When ready to serve, sprinkle with nuts and cherries.
