Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    5 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix the first 8 ingredients for batter in usual manner.
    Put brown sugar in deep bowl; add butter, nutmeg and boiling water and stir.
    Pour sauce over batter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes until top is golden brown.
    As this pudding bakes the batter rises to the top and the sauce stays on the bottom.
