Pecan Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
    Blend in flour and vanilla.
    Add pecans and mix.
    If mixture is too stiff, add a tablespoon of water.
    Shape into 3/4 to 1-inch balls.
    Place on cookie sheet.
    Bake 10 minutes or until light brown at 350\u00b0.
    Cool 5 minutes.
    Roll in additional powdered sugar while still warm.
