Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. vinegar
    4 c. water
    1/4 c. ice cream salt
    1/8 tsp. alum
    1 to 2 tsp. dill seed
Preparation
    Bring water, vinegar and ice cream salt to boil and put in bottom of jar these ingredients:
    garlic bud and hot pepper to your taste.
    Pour hot vinegar over pickles.
    Heat and seal in a hot water bath for 15 minutes.
