New Orleans Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar (1/2 white and 1/2 brown)
    1 c. milk
    3 c. pecans
    1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter
    salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook syrup with candy thermometer to 236\u00b0.
    Remove and add pecans and vanilla.
    Let cool until you can touch bottom of pan. Beat until thick and drop on cookie sheet covered with wax paper.
