Italian Supper Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, diced
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1 (1 lb.) can whole tomatoes
    1/4 c. fresh parsley or 2 Tbsp. dried parsley
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    2 c. water
    2 1/2 c. V-8 juice
    1 c. macaroni, uncooked
Preparation
    Brown sausage pieces in a large soup kettle over medium heat. Add onion and green pepper.
    Cook until tender, but not brown. Add mushrooms. Cook 5 more minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients except macaroni. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Uncover and bring to a boil. Gradually stir in macaroni and cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Stir frequently. Serve hot.
