Sweet Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. sliced cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    2 qt. vinegar
    1/2 box pickling spice
    9 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 gal. water
Preparation
    Soak sliced cucumbers in 2 cups lime overnight.
    Stir gently occasionally.
    The following morning, rinse thoroughly three times, drain and pat dry.
    Mix 2 quarts vinegar, 1/2 box spice, sugar and salt.
    (I heat just enough to dissolve sugar.)
    Put cucumbers in mixture and let stand 3 to 6 hours.
    Bring mixture to a full boil and boil 30 to 35 minutes.
    Put in sterile jars and seal.
