Speedy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. nuts

Preparation

Stir the first 6 ingredients together until smooth.
Add the flour, oatmeal and nuts.
Stir until smooth.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
