Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 Tbsp. warm water
2 c. buttermilk (or sour milk)
1/4 c. butter or margarine
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir in shortening. Meanwhile, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add with buttermilk to flour mixture to make soft dough. Turn on lightly floured board. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with round cutter. Brush with melted butter and fold over to make pocketbook rolls. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes or light brown. Dough does not have to rise before baking. Dough may be stored in refrigerator before baking.
