Applets Or Cotlets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raw apple, grated
    2 c. sugar
    2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
    5 Tbsp. cold water
    1/4 tsp. Rose flavoring
    1 c. nuts
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Cook apples for 1 minute; add sugar and simmer for 30 minutes. Soak gelatin in water; add to apples, dissolve, remove from stove.
    Add Rose flavoring, nuts and lemon juice.
    Pour into buttered pan dusted with powdered sugar.
    Cool; cut in squares and roll in powdered sugar.
    Dry.
    Note:
    For cotlets use 1 c. apricot puree (baby food) instead of grated apples.
    Leave out Rose flavoring.
