Autumn Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 c. dried apples, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Combine pineapple and sugar in saucepan.
    Heat to boil for 3 minutes.
    Stir in jello until dissolved.
    Add cream cheese and combine.
    Cool.
    Fold in remaining ingredients; chill until firm. Cut into squares and serve with whipped topping if desired.
