Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 qt. milk
1 1/2 c. nuts
5 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 c. heavy cream
1 pt. cherries
Preparation

Beat eggs; add sugar, salt, lemon, vanilla, milk and cream. Blend thoroughly.
Pour into a gallon freezer can.
Pack with ice and salt.
Freeze until almost firm.
Add fruit and nuts.
Complete freezing.
