Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 ripe bananas, mashed (1 1/2 c.)
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. melted shortening or 2/3 c. oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. chopped pecans (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix bananas, sugar, eggs and shortening in mixing bowl and set aside.
    Sift flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
    Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to fruit batter.
    Add vanilla and pecans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
