Fried Ham With Redeye Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 (1/4-inch) slices ham
1 1/2 c. water or coffee
4 tsp. sugar, divided
Preparation

Heat a large heavy skillet over medium heat.
On each slice of ham, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of sugar.
Place a ham slice in skillet, sugar side down.
Cook until brown.
Turn and sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon sugar on second side.
Repeat with remaining ham slices and sugar.
Remove ham and keep warm.
