Hobo Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 or 3 chopped onions
    3 medium potatoes, sliced
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/4 lb. Velveeta cheese
    1 c. peas or corn
    1 medium green pepper, diced (optional)
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1 1/4 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef in skillet.
    Add chopped onions.
    Cook until onions are done; drain.
    Prepare sauce.
    Add milk to mushroom soup and heat.
    Add cheese and stir until cheese is melted.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    In a buttered casserole, place a layer of thin sliced potatoes, then a layer of meat mixture, then a layer of peas or corn.
    Do this twice.
    On top, place chopped green pepper and cover with the mushroom cheese sauce.
    Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
    Cook at 350\u00b0 or until potatoes are done.
    I use a large cake pan and double the recipe.
    This is also good reheated.
    Very good.
