Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. buttermilk
Preparation
    Stir together the flour, soda and salt.
    Add the butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add egg and stir until fluffy. Stir in dry ingredients. Blend in buttermilk.
    Drop by tablespoons on ungreased baking sheet.
    Press flat with flat bottomed glass dipped in sugar.
    Space 1 1/2-inches apart. Bake 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Have all ingredients at room temperature.
    This cookie does not get hard.
